1. Return Windows & Eligibility
In-Store Purchases
- Regular Priced Items: Refunds within 5 store operating days of purchase (excluding Mondays and Tuesdays when our retail store is closed). Exchanges or store credit within 10 calendar days of purchase.
- Sale & Clearance Items: Strictly no refunds. Sale items are eligible for exchange only within 10 calendar days of purchase.
Online Purchases
- Regular Priced Items: Refunds or exchanges within 10 calendar days from the date of delivery.
- Sale & Clearance Items: Strictly no refunds. Sale items are eligible for exchange only within 10 calendar days from the date of delivery.
Item Condition Requirements
To be eligible for any return, refund, or exchange, your item must be completely unused, unsharpened, and in the exact same condition that you received it. It must be in its original, undamaged factory packaging.
- Non-Returnable Items: Gift cards and custom-modified items.
- Proof of Purchase: A valid store receipt, invoice, or online order confirmation number is strictly required.
Sale & Clearance Items Policy
- All Sale Items are Final Sale regarding refunds. We do not offer cash, debit, or credit card refunds on any discounted, sale, or clearance items.
- Exchanges Allowed: If you change your mind about a sale item, you may exchange it for an item of equal or lesser value, or receive store credit, provided it is returned within the stipulated 10-day window and meets all condition requirements.
- Shipping Exclusion: Sale items are strictly excluded from any free shipping promotions. Standard shipping rates will apply at checkout if a sale item is in your cart.
2. How to Process Your Return
If You Bought It In-Store:
Items purchased at our Brampton retail location must be returned in person.
- Bring the eligible item, original packaging, and your receipt to our store during operating hours (Wednesday–Sunday).
- Your item will be inspected on the spot. Approved refunds will be issued immediately to your original method of payment.
If You Bought It Online:
You can return online orders either in person at our Brampton store or by mail.
To return by mail:
- Email us at info@srknives.com with your order number to receive a return authorization.
- Package the item securely and mail it to: S&R Knives – North Building - Unit C6 - 18 Strathearn Ave, Brampton, ON L6T 4X8.
- You are responsible for paying your own shipping costs to mail the item back to us.
- Free Shipping Policy Note: If your original order qualified for free shipping, a flat fee of $25 CAD will be deducted from your final refund or store credit to cover the original outbound shipping and handling costs. Original shipping fees are strictly non-refundable.
⚠️ Shipping Notice: If you are shipping an item over $100, we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
3. Refunds & Bank Processing Times
- In-Store Returns: Approved refunds are triggered immediately.
- Mail-In Returns: Once your package is received and inspected, we will send you an email notifying you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- Processing Delay: Approved refunds are automatically credited back to your original method of payment. Please allow 5 to 7 business days for the credit to officially post to your account, depending on your bank or credit card issuer.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received an approved refund after 7 business days, please check your bank account or credit card statement again, then contact your financial institution. There is often a standard processing delay. If you have done this and still have not received your refund, contact us at info@srknives.com.
4. Defects & Warranty Claims
We inspect our inventory closely, but if you receive an item that is defective or damaged due to a manufacturer flaw, we will replace or exchange it.
- Store Window: We will handle defect swaps directly within your initial return window (5 days for store refunds, 10 days for online/exchanges).
- Manufacturer Warranties: For items that develop issues past these windows, many of the premium brands we carry offer lifetime manufacturer warranties. We will gladly help provide you with the contact information to submit a warranty claim directly to the manufacturer.
- Note: Damage caused by tool misuse (such as prying, throwing, or using a blade as a screwdriver), rust due to improper maintenance, or altered edge geometry from bad sharpening is not covered.
5. Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased online and shipped directly to you, you will receive a digital store credit for the value of your return once the item is received and inspected. If the item wasn’t marked as a gift at checkout, the refund will automatically be issued to the original gift-giver.
