Chaves Ultramar CHAV43968 Scapegoat Street Folding Knife 3.39" M390 Satin Clip Point Blade, Stonewashed Titanium Handles, Frame Lock
Chaves Ultramar knives from Ramon Chavez are manufactured in China by Reate Knives aimed to bring his amazing knives to a wider audience base. There are a variety of different models including a production Street version of his famous Redencion knife that is iconic in the knife world. Each feels like one of his mid-tech offerings and features his signature titanium skull pocket clip. They are perfect for everyday carry and Reate has managed to recreate Ramon's incredible action perfectly so they flip just like the real thing!
The Scapegoat Street is a completely different design from the norm for Ramon, similar to the Sangre model but with a clip point blade and no finger groove in the handle. It's really the only Chaves design without this, yet it still has one on the blade for fine detail work. We must tell you we don't miss it at all, this is one comfortable folding knife. The frame lock features a replaceable lockbar insert and the knife is complete with a partial titanium backspacer. If Ramon Chavez has been on your wish list for a while but remains outside your price point, then check out a Chaves Ultramar. For the money, there isn't a better mid-tech type production knife that we can think of.
