SPYDERCO C264GP MICROJIMBO BLACK G10 CPM-S30V MICHAEL JANICH FOLDING KNIFE.
When Michael Janich designed his first knife for Spyderco nearly 20 years ago, most personal-defense knives had traditional martial blade profiles, like spear points, Americanized tantos, and variations on the Bowie theme. Janich's design—the first-generation Ronin fixed blade—challenged that convention and literally pioneered the concept of the "tactical Wharncliffe." Today, Wharnie-style tactical knives are everywhere, but the roots of that trend can be traced directly back to Janich's early designs—and Spyderco's willingness to take a chance on them.
The MicroJimbo distills all the key features of Michael Janich's acclaimed Yojimbo 2 design into a smaller, more legally compliant package. At the same time, its critical dimensional relationships, including the "cockpit" in the center of the knife, are identical to its bigger brother. The result is an ultra-compact folder that deploys and handles like its full-sized counterpart. The MicroJimbo's CPM-S30V Wharncliffe blade measures 2.45" (62 mm) to comply with strict blade-length laws and features a full-flat grind for enhanced tip strength. It is supported by a high-strength Compression Lock mechanism and stainless steel liners nested within peel-ply-textured G10 scales. To balance discreet carry and instant accessibility, it includes a deep-pocket wire clip that is reversible for both left and right-side tup-up carry.
