Building on the Native’s proven ergonomics and lockback security, this exclusive edition showcases Crucible Industries’ CPM-15V, an advanced particle metallurgy tool steel boasting nearly 15 percent vanadium. This unique composition yields an abundance of vanadium carbides, producing extraordinary wear resistance and cutting longevity.

To maximize the steel’s potential, Spyderco partnered with custom knifemaker Shawn Houston, applying a proprietary heat treatment designed to bring out the absolute best in CPM-15V. The result is a blade that offers unmatched sharpness and holding power—an evolution in everyday cutting performance. Complementing the elite blade, the handle features lightweight, peel-ply-textured brown FRN scales that provide grip security without added weight. Distinctive details, including Houston’s “Triple B” logo laser-engraved on the reverse side, further set this Sprint Run apart. It is a great knife! I bought a Para 3 lightweight over a year ago that is made from CPM 15V. The edge retention is amazing. So I decided to buy this knife and it performs similarly. I was shipped fast and is wicked sharp, the ergos on it are superb. The hype is worth it. Buy it before its gone, because CPM 15V is no longer made...unless Era Steel the company that acquired Crucible Steel and the rights to their patents and decides to make 15V steel in the future. Thank-you S & R Knives for an awesome knife!
