Forged from CPM-MagnaCut—a stainless tool steel prized for its balance of edge retention, toughness, and impressive corrosion resistance—this knife anchors Spyderco's inclusion of MagnaCut in its Salt Series lineup. Though LC200N and H-2 still top the charts for corrosion immunity, MagnaCut's performance under wet conditions places it solidly in the game.
The textured black G10 handle debuts a bold CNC-machined “Caribbean Bi-Directional Texture” pattern—offering improved grip traction for wet, gloved, or high-movement environments. A raised central ridge doubles as a clip contact pad for smooth extraction no matter the clip orientation. Paired with a full-flat grind DLC-coated blade, skeletonized nested liners, and open-backed construction, this knife is engineered for deployment where corrosion and grip failure aren't options.
